01 01 2009 On the sleeper bus from Hue to Hoi An.

Note 1: New Year in Hue was unforgettable. In very heavy rain. We went to a high school party with some couchsurfing friends. Vietnamese people smile a lot in general, but when its new year and it's high school kids, its unbelievable. Midnight, countdown, all the little Vietnamese are jumping around, singing and smiling, some are waving sparkling sticks in the air, hot air baloons are flying away all around despite the rain, and then this girl under a red rain cover with her boyfriend looks up to me, has the biggest smile, she's litteraly trepidating with joy and she says "it's very wonderful isn't it?" It's strange to fall in love not with someone, but with a moment.Note 2: The sleeper bus, very adequate for Vietnamese people, is not so 'sleeper' for Seb who is 1m96. His sleep would have been more pleasant if he could have been amputated just below the knees.

01 01 2009 To All: Good Luck for the Happy New Year!

Make 3 wishes, and be good this year. Life is 10% what you make it, 90% how you take it, someone once said. So take it easy.

01 01 2009 Last rant before new year: the attack of the mighty French on an innocent wall (zooming required)

People from which other country would sign on a wall with the name of their business schools??

30 12 2008 Spaghetti bolognasse

It sounds funny in French, but it may be a French private joke this one.

29 12 2008 Ninh Binh, the view from the hotel window... Not.

26 12 2008 A couple of buffalos in Sapa

'Couple' is not meant in the litteral sense here. They could have been just friends, or maybe flirting.

26 12 2008 Cuteness

After the yucky wine pictures, this is well deserved break with cute children from Sapa.

25 12 2008 Pick your Vietnamese wine part 2

25 12 2008 She is eye boggling

You see women dressed more casual who go to work at Goldman Sachs in Paris or NY. This lady is paddling her boat, standing, and selling you drinks. My friend Seb is in the video, hi Seb, we both agreed that the sales lady was halong-bay-on-christmas-day kind of nice-looking.

25 12 2008 I wake up on the deck of our boat where i spent the night.

It's the morning after Christmas in Halong Bay, did i say that already? I'm trying to look like a happy morning person, shouldn't be too hard after you spent Christmas in Halong Bay, i think i said it already.

23 12 2008 Seb and Christophe are in communist Vietnam :) This is one day before Christmas, in Halong Bay.

25 12 2008 It's misty, chilly, grey, but it's HALONG BAY ON CHRISTMAS DAY

20 12 2008 The Chinese are morning people

And i'm not. The only reason i was up to take this video at 6:30 in the morning is because i was waiting for my train to the Vietnam border in Nanning.

I pledged to do tai chi while in China, but this is a morning 'sport'..... therefore i'm still waiting to try it. Bloody mornings.

18 12 2008 SHOCKING VIDEO PART 2

I have no clue what they're saying, but it's probably something to do with how cute the dogs were and how sad it is they had to turn them into sausage.

18 12 2008 SHOCKING VIDEO: THE CHINESE DO EAT DOG

This video was taken less than 10 (TEN) meters away from a RESTAURANT!!! Need i say more?????

18 12 2008 Getting married, Shanghai style

This was actually a promo for a new Chinese movie. The actress was cute, but already married. Well at least in the movie.

12 12 2008 The young and the less young Shanghainese dance the evening away in a city park.

I stayed a safe distance from the dance floor and prefered to watch and shoot.
